Flock Safety Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent Flock Safety Survey. We received 59 responses, and your input has been invaluable in helping guide decisions for the community.

Here’s a brief summary of the results:
-41 residents support installing Flock Safety Cameras
-18 residents do not support installation
-38 residents expressed concern about safety in and around the community
-21 residents indicated they are not currently concerned

Based on this feedback, the Board will be reviewing options and determining next steps. As part of this process, we will also send out a communication from Flock Safety outlining the procedures for residents who wish to opt out or whitelist their vehicles from the Villages of Prairie Commons LPR (License Plate Reader) cameras.

Please note cities throughout the DFW area are also installing Flock cameras in public areas. Choosing to opt out will apply only to the VPC community-installed cameras and will not exclude your vehicle from being recorded by city-operated or other privately managed LPR systems.
