Recommend Insurance Coverage for Townhomes

As the Managing Agent for the Villages of Prairie Commons Homeowners Association, Inc., we would like to recommend each townhome homeowner consider obtaining an HO6 Policy which is the type of policy typically held by most Condo and Townhome Owners. This coverage can help protect your home from a loss assessment for a covered event. You can purchase this insurance through most insurance brokers. Please contact your current insurance agent to see if this policy is right for you and your insurance needs.
The townhome buildings within the property have experienced wind/hail damage to the roofs and exterior of certain buildings. Essex Management, under the guidance of the Board of Directors intends to file an insurance claim to address damages sustained. Townhome Owners’ with HO6/Loss Assessment coverage are encouraged to contact their agents and inquire if your policy helps with a full or partial reimbursement of insurance assessments levied by the Association. Please take into consideration:
1. The decision to file the insurance claim was after three different contractors performed inspections assessing damages and all vendors have recommended the same action.
2. After filing insurance claim, if decision is made to replace townhome roofs, the townhome owners must pay the deductible.
3. We are trying to work out zero interest payment plan to help owners with the deductible.
